My photography gear

It is key to be adequately equipped for what might occur during a day of wildlife photography. I rely on Nikon mirrorless cameras and shoot raw files with my Z9 and Z8. My go-to lens is the Nikkor Z 400mm f/2.8 with the built-in teleconverter. Coupled with an additional 2x teleconverter, this is effectively three lenses in one.
I also believe that photo hides and camouflage clothes are good tools to be able to get good photographs without disturbing wildlife. For scouting and monitoring, I also use a variety of trail cameras.
Although good gear does not equal a good photo, having the right tools for the job makes the photography much more enjoyable in my opinion.
